Blog 9: Overview Of Class

My experience of this class was really fun, I think this is one of my favourite class. What I liked in this class is we present and use different apps or technology. I didn't like when the IPad is slow and sometimes it doesn't cooperate.

Blog 6: Evaluation

My thoughts of evaluation is you've been graded on how you did on your project, assignment, presentation, and etc. For me mark means a score that you earn and it's something that I should always keep in track because its for my future. My family and my future motivates me to learn because if I would not graduate and get a job in the future our family will suffer. Also, my future because if I wouldn't graduate and get a better job my eight years of my life in elementary or in high school will be a waste and all the things I learn would be a waste too. Base on how my attitude and engage I am is what I take away from evaluation process.

Blog 8: Rome RAFT's

My thought on the Rome Rafts was very interesting, I learn a lot of things that I've never knew before. Yes, I did enjoy our topic and I enjoy how we present and use a game show on our presentation. I learn about the planets are names by gods in Rome, facts about Ceasar, and the foods that the Rome only eat. To be honest, I don't like how they present it because of how they just read all the facts about Rome so it gets a little boring. Also, they didn't get creative on their presentation.

Blog 7: PMI of Ancient Rome Vs US Article

Plus
  • the United States technological lead, and the United States emerges as a serious superpower without any rivals.
  •  the United States did not form any type of formal colonies and the Romans always did
  • the Roman Empire the Romans had great military strength
  • the Romans were known for their infrastructure, including their Roads (or Via) as well as their engineering feats with bridges and aqua ducts, built primarily to enable their military to move more quickly.
  • The United States appears to have taken these tips from their Roman counterparts
  • the United Nations with support from governments from around the world stood on the precipice of a great journey; they were about to call to session the first international parliament that would have powers and jurisdiction that far exceeded the United Nations and the International Court of Justice in the Hague

Minus
  •  the Romans understood that the world needed to practice imperialism, namely the art of winning wars and invading territories
  • the Romans practiced and learned the political tricks that sustained their ability to stay in power of their territories during their reigning period.
  • the rest of the World undoubtedly knew their strength and consequently feared the Roman.
  • The Roman and American models of government and capitalism are based on the principles of progress through utilization of it’s work force with the lure of the good life as an individual’s goal
  • rule by having others do the work for you, something similar to using a television remote control.

Interesting
  • Military strength is the most obvious similarity, as Rome was the Superpower of its time, and the United States is the Superpower now.
  • The Romans had the best training, biggest Budget, and finest equipment that the world had ever seen in their time. The United States is just as dominant- its Military budget is larger than nine other countries put together, allowing the United States to deploy their units almost anywhere across the World in a matter of minutes.
  • Today those highways find their counterpart in the Internet, or better known as the information Superhighway. The Internet began as a military tool, and arguably is one of the most superior inventions of our time, bringing whole nations together in mere nanoseconds.
  • Rome realized that if they were to last as a World power, the Romans had to excel at both the art of winning wars as well as the winning the cultural battle often times found in political circles.
  • China is a socialist and communist country that is slowly turning its back on its soul and embracing it nemesis, capitalism.

Blog 5: First Nation Presentation

The First Nation Presentation was really good presentation I learn a lot of things like their own language and I got to learn his history of his last name. Also, The bingo that we played was really fun too because I got to know some information about First Nation. Lastly, the picture that he showed was really good too because it is his first time paint and it is really good.

Blog 4: Ancient Presentation

Our presentation went well as I think because we all work hard on it and we put a lot of effort too. I learn that if you present without looking at your paper it's a good way to understand and learn it. We practice to present it twice so it will be a good presentation. I think the best presentation is the Ancient China because some of them present without a paper and just teach what they really learn so I kinda of understand what really Ancient China.
